Village Water eBay shop
Proper Guilt Free Shopping
Our eBay shop is up and running!
Handmade gifts crafted by women creatives – plus, every item you buy supports our work in Zambia and Mozambique.
We’ve spoken before about our long-term supporter Ruth, she’s the lady who’s helping us with our sanitary pad project in Zambian schools – she is also an absolute whizz with a sewing machine. Ruth makes a wide variety of ultra-useful things, all from recycled fabric.
Her motto is, “Don’t throw anything away, re-use it!”
Food and veg bags, mini snack packs perfect for carrying nuts and other treats to work, bowl cosys, beeswax wraps… Fundraising Officer, Beth Llewellyn said “Everything’s so useful – I never leave home without a drawstring bag or mini pocket in my bag! Her eco-conscious items are a really great way to reduce your plastic use. You should probably get in quick because I might be buying all her stock!”
Ruth makes all the items in her spare time and donates everything to Village Water. (She’s a right superstar)
We are also delighted to sell Little Ndaba dolls. These handmade toys are created by women’s enterprise Little Ndaba: a group of mothers, daughters and sisters living in Chingola, Zambia, who’ve passed down their crochet skills for generations.
3/4 of the money from every toy reimburses the women and helps them pay for school fees and medical bills, and 1/4 supports Village Water.
These gorgeously made toys are the perfect gift for children and adults alike, and are all named after the Village Water Zambia team. Provincial Manager, Mubiana Muyangwa, is now immortalised as Moobiana the Cow (pictured left).
