As Chris’ tenure as one of our trustees comes to an end, he has shared some reflections about his time at Village Water.

“It was 22 years ago when my association with Village Water commenced. The UN’s challenge in the form of the Millennium Development Goals had only just been published, central to these was the provision of access to clean fresh water – which rightly was deemed to be a basic human right.

The children, who with Village Water’s intervention at this time, had been provided with such a simple step-up in life, the provision of safe water to drink, cook and wash with will now be young adults. During the same time frame Village Water has also grown-up, matured and developed.

The original purpose that inspired David Dixon to establish Village Water remains, because every day there are still too many who struggle to access safe, life-sustaining water.

Thank you for all you do to make Village Water the success it is. I feel very privileged to have been part of such a great team.”
