THE FLUSH MOB

November 26th, 2018

The Safe Water & Sanitation for All appeal officially launched yesterday and we organised a rather loo-dicrous local event, the FLUSH MOB, to celebrate.

Think flash mob but with more toilet humour!  – Clare, VW Director

Lots of lovely locals joined us in The Square, Shrewsbury, to surprise Sunday morning shoppers with a toilet-themed dance, behind a giant toilet, to the tune of The Birdie Song on tuba, accordion and saxophone.

Sound strange? It was rather. But we bet you’ll never find a more interesting, fun and bizarre way to raise awareness about safe water and sanitation.

It was great fun, for a great cause! Well done everyone, an unexpected advantage was meeting some super folk! – Christine Shenton, flush-mobber

The aim of the Safe Water and Sanitation for All appeal is to raise £250,000 in three months, to support thousands of people living in Zambia and Mozambique with life changing safe water and sanitation. All donations made before the 26th of February will be doubled by the UK government.

Thank you to everyone who helped kick the appeal off with a bang!
