PGS Services are bringing together office staff, trade partners and customers to raise money to help improve one villages access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene in rural Zambia. Patrick Doyle told us why the cause is so close to his heart…
I’ve worked at PGS for about ten years building and maintaining our IT systems and apps. I was born and grew up in Zambia and spent my late teens and early twenties exploring the bush out there at every opportunity, so when I was asked if I’d be interested in helping to raise money for Village Water I jumped at the chance.
PGS Services Ltd. has already made an incredible donation of £2,300 to get the fundraising project rolling. You can support them too by going to their JustGiving page.
A few of the PGS team will even be putting their bodies on the line to carry out sponsored challenges over the coming months.. Patrick has bravely decided to cycle coast to coast from Whitehaven to Sunderland. That’s 140 miles of hills, fells, dales and all other variations of challenging terrain – quite the challenge!
Once this hard-working team’s target has been reached, we can allocate their donations to one community in Zambia. Local partners take photos and collect case studies and health data during the project, which means everyone at PGS can follow the work they’ve helped fund right from the beginning, and hear the difference it has made, directly from the people they’ve helped. Thanks to all at PGS for your fantastic efforts!
