World Water Day
Today is World Water Day, and this year’s theme, Water & Gender, shines a powerful light on how access to safe water can transform the lives of women and girls around the world.
In rural communities across Zambia and Mozambique, something as simple as having safe water close to home can change everything. Women and girls often bear the responsibility of collecting water, walking long distances that take valuable time out of their day. But when safe water is accessible nearby, it can save them up to 2 hours and 25 minutes every single day.
This is time that can be spent in school and earn an income, strengthening independence. For women like Anabela and Eva from Mozambique, access to safe water has meant more freedom to focus on what truly matters to them.
This World Water Day, you have the chance to be part of that change.
By making a donation today, you can help bring safe water closer to communities turning hours spent collecting water into time for education and opportunity.
