that support long lasting change
Our donors believe in the same things as we do: safe water and sanitation should be available for everyone, and building local skills and capacity is the way to achieve it.
We are proud to have a collection of dedicated donors - Trusts, Foundations, Rotary groups and corporate partners - who've grown with us for over a decade and have changed the lives of thousands of people in Zambia and Mozambique.
One small charity, two big government funded appeals
We received an A-grade for our implementation of The Well Good Appeal in 2015, and in 2018 were awarded our second DFID UK Aid Match grant.
The Safe Water & Sanitation for All appeal ran between November 2018 and February 2019, raised over £290,000 which was doubled by the UK government and will fund a new two-year project in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia.
“Having partnered with Village Water for over 10 years now, transforming communities in Zambia, Meal a Day has always been thoroughly impressed with the planning, sustainability, ongoing monitoring and maintenance built in to the programmes, and with the feedback provided to us. Brilliant to work with!”
“Since 2010, Wilmslow Wells for Africa has been pleased to fund numerous Village Water projects which have provided water points and sanitation for villages in need in Zambia and Mozambique. WWA values their reliable feedback and comprehensive final reports.”
“The Waterloo Foundation has been supporting Village Water for ten years and we have been highly impressed with their cohesive approach and impressive commitment to improving access to water, sanitation and hygiene for communities in Zambia and Mozambique. This is such important work that we are proud to support.”
