Twenty Years Later in Nalitongo

Nalitongo was where it all started.

As we continue to celebrate 20 years of safe water projects, we went back to visit Nalitongo – the first community that we supported.

A photo from first intervention, kept by a villager

Chilombo, pictured below tending to her garden, remembers that first visit in 2004:

Nalitongo village now – with a permenant school structure, gardens and water and sanitation access to the community

Twenty years on the borehole is still functioning, vegetable gardens are flourishing and a new and improved school was built.

Since that first intervention the community of Nalitongo has thrived.

Your support is helping to bring lasting change to those who need it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Here’s to the next twenty years.
